Isaiah 26:3-4 “Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on Thee: because he trusteth in Thee. Trust ye in the LORD for ever: for in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength:”
The word “stayed” in this passage means to bear up, establish, hold, lay, lean, lie hard, put, rest self, set self, stand fast, stay, sustain.
Where does your mind stay?
We are so fascinated by things of this world. We are so easily caught up in the happenings around us. Whether it be the news, entertainment, or the latest trends, our minds are constantly receiving information that does not edify us. We follow and lend our time to people who cannot save us and personalities who did not die for us.
What would happen if we fixed our minds on Christ?
What would happen if we stayed our minds on Jesus when we rise up every morning?
What would happen if we stayed our minds on Jesus before sleeping at night?
What would happen if we stayed our minds on Jesus when we got frustrated?
What would happen if we stayed our minds on Jesus when we get confused?
What would happen if we stayed our minds on Jesus when we are hurt?
What would happen if we stayed our minds on Jesus when we get betrayed?
What would happen if we stayed our minds on Jesus when we are weary?
What would happen if we stayed our minds on Jesus when are sick?
What would happen if we stayed our minds on Jesus when we lose a friend?
What would happen if we stayed our minds on Jesus when we mourn the death of a loved one?
What would happen if we stayed our minds on Jesus when we have a besetting sin that we cannot seem to break free from?
The answer to ALL these questions is answered in this passage.
Isaiah 26:3-4 “Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on Thee: because he trusteth in Thee. Trust ye in the LORD for ever: for in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength:”
Christ Jesus is our perfect peace. His peace is complete, and His peace is everlasting. We can have the peace of God within every situation we face.
Dear Friend, we do not need to understand; God does not expect us to understand. He only expects us to trust Him. No matter where you are in life, call upon Him. Trust and obey His Holy Word, because He will keep you.
Philippians 4:6-7 “Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”
