Are You Troubled?

Since the covid scare began, I’ve been seeing the quote “Faith Over Fear” a lot. It’s a great quote, but how do we attain it? Faith over fear.
The Bible says in Romans 10:17, “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.” God’s Word is true! (John 17:17) When I’m reading and meditating on God’s Word and when I’m spending time in prayer, fear vanishes.

If faith comes from the Word of God, where does fear come from? The antithesis of spending time in the Word of God and prayer would be spending time doing what? Do you find yourself fearful? Are you worried? These kinds of thoughts and emotions are not from God. “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”- 2 Timothy 1:7

I want to encourage you today. Turn off the news media and turn off social media. Close your apps and open your Bible. Spend time with Jesus.

“Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”- John 14:27

  1. Hello form the UK

Thank you very much for your post. Nice and simple. I don’t usually do anything so short!

I am writing something about fear myself at the moment so your post is very helpful in my drafting.

I have written about the various issues re Covid 19 on my website. I have a summary which set out the various issues which sub-links. I explain who is behind the Covid crisis in part (I have the 3 main groups). This is apart from Satan with his fallen angels.

I do use humour on my site to help make the pints and to raise morale; they say laughter is the best medicine!

And of of course God the Father laughs at the foolish evil ones as they will come to a sticky end.

If you are interested here is my link.
